Heavy Cream: US Cups to Milliliters (ml) & Grams (g) Conversion
Convert volumes of heavy cream (also known as double cream or whipping cream with ~36-40% fat) measured in US cups to its standard volume in milliliters (ml) and its approximate weight in metric grams (g).

Important Considerations for Heavy Cream:
Heavy cream is slightly less dense than water but denser than very light oils. Its density is approximately 0.97-1.00 g/ml, varying with fat content.
1 US Cup = 236.59 ml. For convenience, many recipes and charts round this to 240 ml.
Therefore, 1 US cup of heavy cream weighs approximately 230-240 grams.
"Whipping cream" can have slightly less fat (30-35%) and might be marginally lighter, but for most recipes, these conversions are suitable.
"Double cream" in the UK has a higher fat content (around 48%) and would be slightly denser.
For most cooking applications, volume measurements are standard. Weight can be useful for large-scale baking or precise formulations.
