Important Considerations for Baking Pan Volumes:
Pan volumes are approximate and calculated assuming a standard depth of **2 inches (approximately 5 cm)**. Deeper or shallower pans will have different volumes.
The formula for the volume of a rectangular prism (pan) is V = length * width * height.
When substituting pans, try to match volumes as closely as possible. Adjust baking time if the depth or overall volume changes significantly.
Always leave some headspace in the pan for batter to rise (typically fill pans 1/2 to 2/3 full).
Material of the pan (glass, dark metal, light metal) can also influence baking times.
